In addition to introducing three brand-new sets in their announcement video, the Danish LEGO toy company also revealed exciting news: "Mario Kart" themed products will be arriving in 2025! So, in this article, let's take a look at the three sets, numbered 71435, 71436, and 71437, which are expected to launch in August 2024.
LEGO 71437 The Bowser Express Train

Let's review them in the order they were announced! First up is "The Bowser Express Train," with 1392 pieces and measuring an impressive 68 cm long when assembled. The exquisitely detailed Bowser-head locomotive alone is a compelling reason to acquire this set. Beyond its stunning exterior design, the Bowser Express Train features multiple playable mechanisms, including removable carriage roofs, a cannon-firing carriage, and a rooftop chimney smoke effect that activates when the train moves. The set also includes the cannon station from the video game, which launches Mario onto the express train.
The set includes six characters: brick-built Hammer Bro, Boom Boom, two Goombas, and two Paragoombas.
LEGO 71436 King Boo's Haunted Mansion

Next is King Boo's Haunted Mansion, perfectly suited for play with the "Luigi's Mansion" Starter Course. The set primarily features purple and dark brown bricks. When unfolded, you can enjoy the hidden mechanisms within, and when closed, it forms a complete mansion structure, making it excellent for both play and display.
▼ Defeating a Dry Bones with Luigi will even trigger an adorable animation!
LEGO 71435 Battle with Roy at Peach's Castle
Suggested Retail Price: US$64.99, Total Parts: 738 pieces, Estimated Release Date: August 1, 2024
The third set depicts Roy's attack on Princess Peach's Castle. The red and white-themed castle can also unfold, revealing an interior equipped with a throne, a piano, and various playable mechanisms. A major highlight is undoubtedly the debut of Roy in a three-dimensional LEGO Super Mario form.
