The American sculpting brand Premium Collectibles Studio (PCS), known for its expertise in showcasing character charm through large-scale statues, recently unveiled its latest "Transformers" Museum Scale product: the full-body statue of the Decepticon giant "Devastator"! Shipping is expected to begin from September to November 2024, with a limited quantity of 75 units and a suggested retail price of US$3,900.
When it comes to Transformers combiners, the first one that surely comes to mind is the famous "Devastator"! Composed of six members of the Constructicon team: Scrapper, Hook, Mixmaster, Scavenger, Long Haul, and Bonecrusher, Devastator possesses immense destructive power befitting his formidable name. For the Autobot faction, the Decepticon Devastator's only weakness might just be his overly simple mind.
This Devastator, a true testament to PCS's ambition, stands at an astonishing 45 inches (114 cm) tall. It meticulously captures the vintage look and striking color scheme from the G1 setting, and while maintaining its classic essence, it also incorporates intricate modern mechanical details. The vehicle modes of Scrapper as a bulldozer on the right leg, Mixmaster as a cement mixer on the left leg, Hook's construction crane arm on the torso, and the tracked bulldozers and excavators on the left and right shoulders are all exquisitely crafted, truly evoking childhood fascination with large construction machinery!
▼ The Platinum Ex version, sold on the PCS official website, will include two additional interchangeable heads, an interchangeable right hand in a clenched fist pose, and an interchangeable left hand in a giant drill state.
