Among the "TOMICA PREMIUM unlimited" series, which is spearheaded by Japanese toy company TAKARA TOMY's "Tomica (トミカ/TOMICA)" brand and aims to excite adults, the "Mini 4WD" collaboration with Tamiya is not only bringing the classic Magnum Saber and Sonic Saber from "Bakusou Kyoudai Let's & Go!!" this March, but the "Black Saber" (ブラックセイバー), owned by Kurosawa in the series, has also been officially announced! It is scheduled for release in July 2024, with a suggested retail price of 1,430 JPY (tax included).
In the "Bakusou Kyoudai Let's & Go!!" anime, the Black Saber is "Kurosawa Futoshi"'s ace Mini 4WD. Although the Black Saber originally possessed powerful performance, Kurosawa's extensive modifications to the Mini 4WD and installation of aggressive parts like jagged guide rollers were particularly memorable. It wasn't until his battle with "Okita Kai" and witnessing Go and Retsu's pure passion and joy for Mini 4WDs that Kurosawa decided to abandon all combat equipment and began to enjoy the pure fun of Mini 4WD racing.
The TOMICA PREMIUM unlimited series "Mini 4WD Black Saber" measures 12 cm in length, faithfully recreating the classic Saber car model from the "Bakusou Kyoudai Let's & Go!!" story. In addition to its powerful black main color, the rich "BLACK SABER" lettering, B-logo, blue front guide rollers, black rear guide rollers, red wheels, and the green motor components visible through the chassis are all meticulously reproduced. Viewing it from the side level reveals the charm of the Saber's rear wing design.
