The "Nendoroid" series of Q-version articulated figures, produced by Japan's GOOD SMILE COMPANY, today announced the latest product from the classic horror film "Jaws," the "Nendoroid Jaws," scheduled for release in September 2024.

Directed by Steven Spielberg, "Jaws" depicts a terrifying giant shark frequently attacking tourists at a resort, causing significant casualties. However, the local mayor, fearing a severe blow to the tourism industry, suppressed the news. Thus, Chief Brody enlisted a marine biologist and a shark hunter, determined to confront the great white shark. The film received immense acclaim upon its release. It utilized underwater perspectives and a rapid orchestral score to portray the elusive great white shark, while realistic human dismemberment and the shark's gaping maw were truly horrifying. For half a century, it has enveloped countless people in shark terror and has become a classic work widely referenced and imitated by subsequent films of the same genre.
The "Nendoroid Jaws" transforms the man-eating giant shark from the film into a Q-version figure approximately 14 cm tall, featuring an adorable proportion with a large head and small tail. Although the main body does not have articulated joints, it can be posed using an articulated stand and splash effects to recreate scenes such as swimming in the sea or leaping out of the water to attack. It also includes the crucial item used to eliminate the great white shark in the film, a "diving tank," which can be inserted into its mouth. Furthermore, the head part can be detached independently and combined with a dedicated background and base to recreate the classic movie poster with its gaping maw!
