From Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company HOBBY Division, the 'HG (High Grade)' series of 1/144 scale Gunpla, which boasts the most diverse range of mobile suits, today announced the latest product from the anime "Gundam Build Metaverse", the "HG 1/144 00 Command Quanta Desert Type", scheduled for release on July 13, 2024.
The 00 Command Quanta was originally a Gunpla used by Takuma Kujou in "Gundam Breaker Battlogue". This mobile suit is based on the "00 Quanta" and incorporates the characteristic armaments of the "SD Command Gundam". It not only features a large amount of heavy armor for enhanced defense but is also equipped with heavy machine guns, missile launchers, combat knives, a commander's sword, beam cannons, and other armaments, completely changing the impression of its original GN-based weaponry. In "Gundam Build Metaverse", this mobile suit was changed to a desert camouflage color scheme and displayed next to the Amazing Barbatos Lupus, but it did not have any other actual combat appearances.
The "HG 1/144 00 Command Quanta Desert Type" is a modification of the previously released HG 1/144 00 Command Quanta. All of the mobile suit's armor and weapon parts have been changed to the same desert camouflage color scheme as seen in "Gundam Build Metaverse"; otherwise, the molding and accessories remain identical. Its rich array of armaments includes a commander's sword, shield, two combat knives, a heavy machine gun, a missile launcher, and more, allowing for the recreation of various combat poses with its flexible articulation design.
