Bandai's GASHAPON division in Japan has announced a brand-new gashapon product based on the classic anime 'Cardcaptor Sakura' – the 'Cardcaptor Sakura Miniature Toy Collection' Miniature Model Charms (tentative title). The suggested retail price is 400 JPY per capsule, with an anticipated release in late June 2024!
'Cardcaptor Sakura' is an original magical girl series created by the manga group CLAMP and adapted into an anime by Japanese animation studio MADHOUSE. It tells the story of the protagonist, Sakura Kinomoto, who becomes a Cardcaptor to prevent the Clow Cards from wreaking havoc and attempts to retrieve all of them. As the story progresses, Sakura's magic wands and card decks also evolve and change. With each new season of the anime, various toys were released. For those who regretfully missed the chance to purchase these toys back then, now is your opportunity to somewhat ease that pain with this new gashapon collection!
This 'Cardcaptor Sakura Miniature Toy Collection' recreates the products Bandai originally released for the first and second seasons of 'Cardcaptor Sakura' in charm form. At a mini size of approximately 4-6 cm each, every item, from the packaging box to the toy itself, has been meticulously reproduced. The internal products are presented as three-dimensional models, complete with recreated blister packaging, and the various prints on the original packaging boxes have been faithfully detailed. This collection features four designs: the Sealing Wand and Clow Cards from the first season, and the Star Wand and Sakura Cards from the second season, allowing everyone to once again own these nostalgic items in a new format!
