BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division in Japan has announced the latest collaborative product, "RaD CC-2000 ORBITER Nightfall," from its original plastic model series "30MINUTES MISSIONS," known for its easy assembly and free customization features. This collaboration with "Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon" is scheduled for release in September 2024.
"Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon" is the latest installment in the "Armored Core" series, developed by FromSoftware after a decade-long hiatus. The story is set on the remote planet "Rubicon 3," where humanity discovered a mysterious new substance called "Coral." Initially believed to be a new energy source capable of significantly advancing technology, it instead brought about a catastrophic disaster that consumed an entire star system. Nearly a century later, the terrifying "Coral" has become a target of contention for extraterrestrial corporations and resistance groups. Players will once again assume the role of "Raven," a mercenary piloting a mech, to infiltrate Rubicon and delve deeper into the heart of this conflict.
This release features "Nightfall," the iconic AC from "Armored Core VI." Utilizing the 30MM series' signature easy assembly and free customization features, this plastic model kit meticulously recreates the high-density details of the "RaD" manufactured medium-weight parts, distinct from the original 30MM mechs.
Parts such as the Head HC-2000/BC SHADE EYE, Core CC-2000 ORBITER, Arms AC-2000 TOOL ARM, Legs 2C-2000 CRAWLER, and Booster BST-G1/P10 are produced with the series' common structure, allowing for free interchangeability of the four main parts, just like in the game. Additionally, the head includes parts to recreate the "Assault Boost" state, a new movement skill in this installment.
For weaponry, it includes the right-hand rifle "RF-025 SCUDDER," the left-hand powerful pile bunker "PB-033M ASHMEAD" which can recreate its deployed state, and the shoulder-mounted Grenade Cannon "SONGBIRDS" and Six-Cell Missile Launcher "BML-G1/P32DUO-03." These weapon parts utilize standard 3mm connection joints, allowing for free customization as well.
