Japanese toy brand MEDICOM TOY's popular 6-inch action figure series "MAFEX" is once again releasing new products based on the super popular R-rated superhero series "The Boys." In addition to "The Deep," they have also announced another new product—the "Soldier Boy" 6-inch action figure, with a suggested retail price of 12,980 JPY, slated for release in February 2025!
Soldier Boy is America's first superhero and the leader of the superhero team "Payback." He participated in various covert operations for the U.S. government before and after World War II. During one mission, he was knocked out by a weapon used by Russian special forces and was only awakened by the protagonists to be used as a weapon against Homelander. Due to the generational gap, Soldier Boy often utters highly politically incorrect statements, steeped in machismo, racism, and the American Dream, making him, in some ways, as uncontrollable as Homelander!
This product stands approximately 16 cm tall, faithfully recreating Soldier Boy's appearance from the series. The military green and star motif, along with subtle pearlescent paint accents, present a heroic costume representing the steadfast image of an American soldier. The facial features of actor Jensen Ackles are meticulously reproduced. The shield, engraved with a bald eagle, is provided in both standard and battle-damaged versions. A helmeted head sculpt is also included. Other accessories include a liquor bottle and a microphone, perfectly capturing the show's portrayal of this veteran's showboating tough-guy persona!
