The 'HI-METAL R' series of transformable alloy models, released by BANDAI SPIRITS' collector's toy division TAMASHII NATIONS in Japan, has officially announced its latest product from "Macross 7", the "VF-19 Kai Fire Valkyrie". It will retail for 14,300 JPY and is scheduled for release in August 2024!
The "VF-19 Kai Fire Valkyrie", also known as the Singing Valkyrie, which appeared in "Macross 7", is a special experimental unit modified from the "YF-19 Excalibur" developed by Shinsei Industry as part of the New U.N. Spacy's "Project Super Nova". It was piloted by Basara Nekki, the lead vocalist of the band FIRE BOMBER, as part of the top-secret "Sound Force Project" to test the Sound Energy System.
The "HI-METAL R VF-19 Kai Fire Valkyrie" features a completely new sculpt, distinguishing it from the version released in 2010. At a height of approximately 15 cm, it faithfully reproduces the Fire Valkyrie's intricate design and vibrant color scheme, primarily in orange-red, black, and yellow. It also incorporates a transformation mechanism, achieving three modes: FIGHTER, GERWALK, and BATTROID! Through interchangeable parts, the shoulder speaker deployment mechanism can be recreated. Missile pods and an alternate face part for when the mask is closed are also included. Furthermore, a pilot figure of Basara Nekki is seated inside the cockpit.
The special display stand is printed with the FIRE BOMBER logo.
