T-ARTS, the toy brand under Japan's TAKARA TOMY, is adding the classic anime series "Chibi Maruko-chan" to its popular "Shoulder Fig." lineup. The new "Shoulder Fig. Chibi Maruko-chan" capsule toy set is scheduled for release in late April 2024, with each try priced at 400 JPY!
"Chibi Maruko-chan" is a cherished childhood memory for countless collectors! Created by the late manga artist Momoko Sakura, the series is based on her own childhood experiences and was adapted into an anime by Nippon Animation in 1990, depicting the daily life of Maruko, her family, and her classmates!
This release marks the first time characters from "Chibi Maruko-chan" have appeared in the "Shoulder Fig." series. The collection showcases protagonist Maruko and her Grade 3, Class 4 classmates dozing off shoulder-to-shoulder in an adorable scene. The lineup includes four characters: the protagonist "Maruko," her best friend "Tama-chan," the wealthy young master "Hanawa," and the class president "Maruo." While everyone else is sleeping rather neatly, Maruko dozing off while drooling is just too cute!
