Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd.'s GASHAPON capsule toy brand is re-releasing the highly acclaimed high-end series "Ultimate Creatures Encyclopedia" with the "Hornet 02 Megalara Garuda Display Stand Set" gashapon. It comes in three types, with a reference price of 1,700 JPY per capsule (regular gashapon version 1,500 JPY), and is scheduled for release in June 2024.
The "Ultimate Creatures Encyclopedia (Ikimono Dai Zukan Advance)" boasts top-tier size, sculpting, and articulation. Compared to the "Creatures Encyclopedia" series, these products feature even more realistic details and exquisite paintwork. This "Ultimate Creatures Encyclopedia Hornet 02 Megalara Garuda Display Stand Set" includes: the "King of Wasps," the Megalara Garuda, along with the Giant Hornet and Hornet, in three types. Sizes range from 120 to 150 mm, and the Megalara Garuda's entire body design features 38 articulated joints! CT scans of specimens were used to thoroughly replicate complex structures like antennae and mandibles, perfectly reproducing every detail. Overwhelmingly realistic biological colors are applied, and the thorax and abdomen use soft materials, allowing for pose adjustments and revealing the hidden stinger.
The set includes a newly designed display stand, allowing for more precise angle adjustments to showcase states like flying or attacking. The included parts are compatible with other "Ultimate Creatures Encyclopedia" series products.
