In the original manga, Camus was Hyoga's master, while in the anime, he was his grandmaster (in the anime, Hyoga was taught by Crystal Saint). During the Battle of the Twelve Houses, Hyoga confronted Camus in the Aquarius Temple. Hyoga awakened his Seventh Sense and mastered Absolute Zero. Finally, both exchanged blows with "Aurora Execution." Realizing Hyoga had surpassed him, Camus ultimately passed away with a smile. In the "Hades Chapter," he, along with Saga and Shura, accepted a temporary life granted by Hades, returning to the Twelve Houses in their Surplices.
