BANDAI CANDY, the Shokugan division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., has announced the latest product in its 'SHODO SUPER' series, which condenses excellent sculpting, articulation, and paintwork into a palm-sized 10 cm figure. The 'JAKQ Electric Shock Squad' is scheduled for release in October 2024.
The second installment in the 'Super Sentai' series, 'JAKQ Electric Shock Squad,' which aired in 1977, depicts the Japanese branch of the International Science Special Investigation Team recruiting five cyborgs to form the 'JAKQ Electric Shock Squad' to combat the criminal organization 'CRIME,' which utilizes mechanical monsters. The members are Goro Sakurai (Spade ACE), driven by nuclear energy; Ryu Higashi (Diamond JACK), driven by electricity; Karen Mizuki (Heart QUEEN), driven by magnetism; Bunta Daichi (Clover KING), driven by gravity; and Sokichi Banba (BIG ONE), who possesses all four energies. They utilize powerful scientific abilities such as acceleration devices, clairvoyance, and voiceprint analysis to fight crime.
The 'SHODO SUPER JAKQ Electric Shock Squad' features articulated figures of the five warriors, standing approximately 10 cm tall. They faithfully reproduce the helmets designed with playing card suits and are meticulously painted with rich colors to detail the straps, belts, and suit patterns on the sides of their boots. The team leader, BIG ONE, also perfectly recreates his magnificent white base with four-color accents. The entire body, including the neck, chest, waist, and limbs, features flexible articulated joint designs. Each warrior comes with an impressive 17 pairs of interchangeable hand parts, allowing for various poses from the show.
For weaponry, each warrior's dedicated armaments are included, along with the combined weapon 'BIG BOMBER,' which consists of wheels, a barrel, and a gun mount. Each part can be individually detached, recreating scenes from the show where they assemble it together to unleash their finishing move!
