Japan's M.I.C. Co., Ltd. (Kabushiki-gaisha M.I.C.) original toy brand "DIG" (D.I.G.) has officially launched its new articulated figure series "DIGACTION". Two new products based on the classic manga "Fist of the North Star" — "Kenshiro" and "Zeed Member" 1/24 scale articulated figures — are leading the charge for this series. The suggested retail price is 5,500 JPY per figure, with an estimated release in September 2024!
"Fist of the North Star" is a manga series written by Buronson and illustrated by Tetsuo Hara. The story is set in the late 20th century, a wasteland ravaged by nuclear war, where people resort to violence to fight for resources, and the world is dominated by brute force. At this time, Kenshiro, a man who has mastered the ancient assassination martial art — Hokuto Shinken (Fist of the North Star) — appears, becoming the savior of the century's end.
This Kenshiro articulated figure stands approximately 8 cm tall, crafted in Kenshiro's classic appearance from the manga. Despite the small 1/24 scale, it faithfully reproduces Kenshiro's facial details and gentle eyes, sculpted with lean muscle lines, and meticulously depicts the multi-wrinkled clothing style characteristic of Tetsuo Hara's artwork. The entire leather outfit features a pearlescent finish to achieve a patent leather texture, and various metal parts on the clothing are also carefully painted. The articulation appears excellent from the official images, capable of recreating various exaggerated combat poses, and the use of effect parts further enhances the overall visual impact!
Kenshiro won't be alone this time; a ZEED Member articulated figure will be released alongside him for Kenshiro to practice his moves on! The ZEED Member also stands approximately 8 cm tall, faithfully recreating the strong wasteland punk style of the ZEED members in the series, with an even wilder design, exuding a powerful villain (minion) aura! Accessories include three head sculpts with different hair colors, among which the red and brown haired head sculpts depict being struck and exploding by Kenshiro, allowing for dynamic displays with Kenshiro as he utters his classic line, "You are already dead!"
