From Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya, the beautiful girl plastic model series "Arcanadea", which blends fantasy and sci-fi elements, today announced its latest product, "Sophiea", is expected to be released in September 2024.
The fifth character, "Sophiea", is also a demon-type DEARS designed by illustrator necömi. Compared to the petite and cute Violet, she possesses a more mature and alluring figure and demeanor. As one of the "Seven Demon Lances," Sophiea not only has considerable combat prowess but is also skilled at manipulating opponents with clever words, deriving immense pleasure from teasing them. She is a demon big sister full of S-attribute traits.
"Arcanadea Sophiea" extensively recreates necömi's design using multi-color molded parts and some pre-painted parts. It includes four pre-printed face parts, five pairs of different PVC hand parts, and water-slide decals for custom expressions. The posable body leverages Kotobukiya's long-standing expertise, featuring flexible and natural joint designs. The scorpion-like tail has multiple articulated segments, each skirt part has independent articulation, and the legs feature a pull-out knee joint design, allowing for both beautiful curves and a wide range of motion.
Accessories include two pairs of small demon wings for [Normal Mode], a contract ring for DEARS, and various armor parts, a main back wing, and a large scythe weapon for [Battle Mode]. The main wing parts can be detached from their base and transformed into various forms such as daggers, dual swords, or automatic attack weapons using clear parts as blades. The large scythe can transform into large scissors. Furthermore, most of the weapons utilize a common 3mm axis connection, allowing for free customization and combination, or interchangeability with separately sold Arcanadea, Megami Device, Frame Arms Girl, and other plastic model products.
