Following "James T. Kirk," Chinese toy brand HIYA Toys' high-quality 6-inch action figure series "Exquisite Super" once again launches a new product based on the 2009 version of "Star Trek" – the "Leonard McCoy" 1/12 scale action figure. The suggested retail price is US$89.99, and it is expected to be released in Q1 2025!
Leonard McCoy is the Chief Medical Officer on the USS Enterprise in the Star Trek series. A surgeon is also referred to as a "Sawbones" in English, which is why Captain Kirk often calls McCoy "Bones." In the 2009 reboot film, McCoy was portrayed by New Zealand actor Karl Urban, who retained the original character's traits while also adding some interesting new elements. This new interpretation of McCoy was called an "absolute success" by The Guardian!
This "Leonard McCoy" action figure stands approximately 16 cm tall. At 1/12 scale, it faithfully recreates actor Karl Urban's facial features and expressions, and sculpts McCoy's slicked-back hairstyle from the film. The costume meticulously reproduces the various details of the new 2009 movie's Enterprise science division blue uniform using fabric material, and the choice of fabric also reduces restrictions on articulation. Accessories include four pairs of interchangeable hands, two head sculpts, as well as props used by McCoy in the film such as a medical injector, medical tricorder, and phaser, allowing collectors to recreate various scenes from the movie!
