BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division in Japan, known for its "Figuarts ZERO" character figures, has announced the latest product in its "EXTRA BATTLE" series, which vividly portrays characters performing their special moves with exquisite effects. The new item is "Marshall D. Teach -Darkness-" from the ONE PIECE series, with a suggested retail price of 17,600 JPY, slated for release in September 2024!
The Admiral of the Blackbeard Pirates, Marshall D. Teach, is a former Warlord of the Sea and a Logia-type "Dark-Dark Fruit" user, possessing a terrifying gravitational pull that can absorb everything. During the Summit War, he killed Whitebeard and stole the "Tremor-Tremor Fruit" ability, becoming the only person currently to possess two Devil Fruit abilities simultaneously. He then launched a war to annihilate the remaining Whitebeard Pirates, dominating the seas that once belonged to Whitebeard, and becoming one of the new Four Emperors.
The "Figuarts ZERO [EXTRA BATTLE] Marshall D. Teach -Darkness-" pre-painted figure stands approximately 24 cm tall. It features magnificent effects that recreate the black hole phenomenon when "Darkness" is activated, with a swirling, infinite gravitational pull that seems to draw everything towards him, showcasing a powerful state ready to devour all. Simultaneously, his entire body is enveloped in the ominous black aura of the Dark-Dark Fruit! The figure meticulously sculpts Blackbeard's hairy belly and costume details, while his flowing greatcoat creates a sense of dynamism, allowing collectors to fully appreciate Blackbeard's overwhelming presence.
