BANDAI SPIRITS' Collectors Division, TAMASHII NATIONS, has announced today the latest product from their new completed statue series "Figuarts Zero Touche Métallique": "UFO Robot Grendizer", based on the classic robot anime "Grendizer", is scheduled for release in January 2025.
The brand-new series "Figuarts Zero Touche Métallique", derived from Figuarts Zero, consists of fully painted completed statues. The name "Touche" is French for "texture" and "Métallique" means "metallic," signifying that this series not only utilizes exceptional sculpting techniques to recreate dynamic and powerful poses for each character but also combines standard painting with electroplating to enhance the metallic texture of the statues, elevating the sense of weight and presence for both Golden Cloths and robots.
The "Figuarts Zero Touche Métallique UFO Robot Grendizer" is sculpted by the prodigious sculptor Tomonobu Fuchi, who has captured Grendizer in a heroic pose, wielding the Double Harken and trampling a fallen Saucer Beast, perfectly embodying its title as the "Cosmic King." From Grendizer's robust yet refined armor design to the damaged and exposed mechanical structures of the destroyed Saucer Beast, every detail is rendered with rich color applications to convey a metallic texture. The impressive weapon in its hand, the "Double Harken," is further enhanced with electroplating, giving its blades a gleaming silver metallic finish.
