Released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectors division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., the "S.H.MonsterArts" series, which combines exquisite monster sculpting with outstanding articulation technology, today announced the latest product from the movie "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire," the "Godzilla (2024) EVOLVED Ver.," scheduled for release in October 2024.
This product is based on the 3D model used in the film, with Japan's foremost Godzilla sculptor, Yuji Sakai, responsible for the prototype creation and sample coloring. It brings Godzilla's evolved form to life with a completely new sculpt. At an approximate height of 16 cm, the lean physique characteristic of this form is meticulously crafted, and the magenta dorsal fins on the back utilize clear parts to achieve a glowing effect.
The articulation is designed by S.H.MonsterArts series designer Mitsuhiko Hosokawa, who engineered the part divisions to maintain sculptural integrity while ensuring a wide range of joint movement. Flexible joints are incorporated throughout the head, torso, limbs, and tail, allowing for the recreation of the impressive running poses seen in the film. Furthermore, when the mouth opens, the movable masticatory muscle fascia parts on both sides are interlinked.
Concurrently, the "S.H.MonsterArts" series also announced that the new antagonist monster "Scar King" from "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire" is currently under development.
