It's okay to get a little closer, isn't it? Hehehe, phew... Kumano is serious this time♡
Phat! Company (株式会社 ファット・カンパニー), a Japanese company specializing in high-quality bishoujo figures, recently announced its latest product from the popular mobile game "Azur Lane": the "Kumano Fancy Wave" 1/6 scale PVC pre-painted figure! Pre-orders are now open, with an estimated shipping date of March 2025, and a suggested retail price of 27,800 JPY (tax included).
Kumano, who resembles a real-life Japanese high school "gyaru," is an SR-class heavy cruiser belonging to the Sakura Empire faction in the game. Her prototype is the Imperial Japanese Navy's heavy cruiser Kumano. Her default in-game illustration depicts a blonde, large-breasted bishoujo wearing a school uniform, with jagged teeth, and always a lively smile on her face. In addition to her hair clips and leg rings, the ship rigging at the bottom of her feet, resembling high heels, is also a striking bright red.
This Kumano figure, based on her swimsuit outfit "Fancy Wave," stands approximately 19 cm tall. It perfectly recreates Kumano's dynamic pose and her sexy, deep-blue themed swimsuit. The detailing on Kumano's face is exquisite, including her sparkling eyes, rosy cheeks, and the green candy on her tongue. Her golden hair, distinct from the original artwork's colors, is given a glossy finish here, creating a translucent visual effect as if illuminated by sunlight. The depiction of her fair skin and the sculpting of her body lines are also superb, and turning her to the back reveals the daring exposure of this swimsuit! Coupled with the swimming ring and splash-effect base, it fully embodies a summer vibe.
