The "MODEROID" assembly model series, launched by Japan's MECHA SMILE brand, has announced its latest product from the movie "Godzilla": "MODEROID Super X". The suggested retail price is 5,500 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in December 2024!
The anti-Godzilla weapon from the 1984 "Godzilla" film – the Capital Defense Fortress T-1 "Super X", attached to the Ground Self-Defense Force Staff Office Inspection Department's Experimental Air Squadron – makes its appearance in the MODEROID assembly model series! With an assembled length of approximately 135 mm, it faithfully recreates the horseshoe crab-like appearance of the Super X. Combined with various molded colors and water-slide decals, assembly allows for a recreation that closely resembles its on-screen appearance. The various cannon armaments are also meticulously recreated: the concealed turret on the upper part of the fuselage features a deployment mechanism; both the main cannon and the Type 68 Kai 84 Type 30 rocket launcher are equipped with barrel retraction mechanisms; the cover of the 180mm Soviet-style navigation searchlight and the side hatches of the fuselage have opening and closing functions; and the various jet fans on the underside of the fuselage are movable. The turret of the 300mm special projectile cannon can also deploy and rotate left and right!
