In addition to the five sets I previously reviewed, LEGO, in collaboration with Nintendo, has recently unveiled two new sets for the Animal Crossing: New Horizons (あつまれ どうぶつの森) theme: "77051 Fly with Dodo Airlines" and "77052 K.K.'s Concert at the Plaza". Let's take a closer look!
LEGO 77051 FLY WITH DODO AIRLINES
Suggested Retail Price: €37.99, Total Pieces: 292, Estimated Release Date: August 1, 2024
After spending a long time on your own island, you'll surely want to venture out! That's when you can head to the airport and enjoy the services of Dodo Airlines! The cool pilot, Orville, wearing sunglasses, will fly you to explore deserted islands. As a side note, you can also enjoy a special "May Day Tour" in the current game; this set recreates the seaside airport building and seaplane. Although the building itself is somewhat simple, it faithfully reproduces the Dodo Airlines sign and leaf logo. Coupled with the dock scenery, it expands your Animal Crossing LEGO world. The minifigures include Orville and the cat, Tangy. The printed Nook Miles Ticket piece is also very cute.
LEGO 77052 K.K.'S CONCERT AT THE PLAZA
Suggested Retail Price: €79.99, Total Pieces: 550, Estimated Release Date: August 1, 2024
Next up is 77052, which creates the island's central area, including the Resident Services building and the plaza, even featuring musician K.K. performing! With vibrant colors, it builds the exterior of the Resident Services, the clock tower, and the nearby bulletin board. There's also a dessert area, and even the leaves on the large tree have changed from the previous green to orange, evoking a deepening autumn atmosphere! Additionally, there's a very cute car model. The minifigures include K.K., Isabelle with a different print, and Monica.
