The premium series "Creature Encyclopedia Ultimate" from Japan's Bandai GASHAPON capsule toy brand is back with the highly anticipated "Hornet 02 Platinum Beetle and Rainbow Stag Beetle Display Stand Set" gashapon. There are five types in total, with a reference price of 1,800 JPY per capsule (1,500 JPY for the regular gashapon version). It will be available for online gashapon at GASHAPON ONLINE, scheduled for release in July 2024.
"Creature Encyclopedia Ultimate (いきもの大図鑑アドバンス)," which boasts top-tier size, sculpting, and articulation design, offers even more realistic details and exquisite paintwork compared to the "Creature Encyclopedia" series. This "Creature Encyclopedia Ultimate Platinum Beetle and Rainbow Stag Beetle Display Stand Set" includes the shimmering, precious beetles: "Platinum Beetle (Silver)," as well as Platinum Beetle (Gold), and Platinum Beetle (Red), in three color variations. Each measures approximately 60 mm, features 21 points of articulation, and utilizes electroplating to perfectly recreate a dazzling, mirror-like metallic luster! Additionally, there are Rainbow Stag Beetle Pika and Rainbow Stag Beetle Green Pika, which have undergone CT scans of specimens to thoroughly replicate complex structures like antennae and mandibles, reproducing every detail.
The set includes a newly designed display stand and replaceable hind wings (not included in the regular gashapon version), allowing for more precise angle adjustments to showcase the flying state. The accompanying parts are compatible with other items in the Creature Encyclopedia Ultimate series.
