Hong Kong toy brand POSE+ recently officially announced its brand new die-cast action figure series, "METAL HEAT". The first product will be "Getter 1 Armageddon Ver." from the anime "Getter Robo Armageddon", scheduled for release in September 2024.
The new "METAL HEAT" series consists of pre-painted action figures made from composite materials such as plastic and die-cast parts. Its three main features include: "Hybrid Anime Sculpt x Dedicated Accessories" which meticulously recreates original design aesthetics and enhances storytelling with accessories; "Extended Action Articulation" which specializes articulation design based on the mecha's characteristics, seeking the optimal balance between sculpt, articulation, and playability; and "Team up: All Members Assemble" which aims to commercialize as many active mecha from the series as possible. The first wave is planned to release three units: Getter 1, Getter 2, and Getter 3. In the future, six more units from the series are planned: Getter Dragon, Getter Liger, Getter Poseidon, Shin Getter 1, Shin Getter 2, and Shin Getter 3!
The "METAL HEAT Getter 1 Armageddon Ver." is produced as an action figure with a height of approximately 21 cm. While faithfully recreating the anime's design, it also incorporates numerous new articulation mechanisms, utilizing 12 ratchet joints, a 6-axis neck joint structure, a triple-structure pull-out shoulder joint, thigh extension joints that allow leg lifts exceeding 120 degrees, and a multi-stage joint structure from chest to waist. The hip parts are not split due to articulation requirements, allowing for both sculptural integrity and a flexible range of motion, enabling various powerful poses.
Among its armaments, the Getter Wing cloak, with a diameter of 45 cm, is made of red fabric and features embedded metal wires that can be shaped to recreate dynamic poses and attack scenes where it's used as a ribbon weapon. The abdomen can recreate the "Getter Beam" firing state with interchangeable parts and effect parts. The handheld "Getter Tomahawk" weapon can be swapped with the curved handle version from the series, and the "Getter Machine Gun" also reproduces the ammunition details within its magazine. Additionally, a large cloak that can envelop Getter's body is included, and when combined with effect parts, it can recreate the powerful scene of unleashing the "Spiral Getter Beam Barrage"!
