SQUARE ENIX of Japan today announced the latest product from their 1/6 scale action figure "PLAY ARTS Kai" series, "Cloud Strife" from the second part of the remake, "FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH," is scheduled for release in January 2025.
The protagonist, "Cloud Strife," who introduces himself as a mercenary, claims to have once been a 1st Class SOLDIER of the Shinra elite unit. Wielding the massive "Buster Sword," he engages in superhuman combat. After being hired by the Avalanche branch, an anti-Shinra organization, he participates in actions such as the Mako Reactor bombing, aiming to dismantle the Shinra Company, and pursues Sephiroth, who seeks to summon a meteor to strike the planet.
The REBIRTH version of "PLAY ARTS Kai Cloud Strife" is a modification based on the previously released "Cloud Strife ver.2." In addition to the standard face, a new "battle face" with gritted teeth and a forward gaze has been added. All other content remains the same as ver.2, featuring multiple articulated joints throughout the body, and including his signature weapon "Buster Sword" and various interchangeable hand parts, allowing for cool battle poses.
