Following the first release, "Megumin," from Japan's Kadokawa plastic model series 'KADOKAWA PLASTIC MODEL SERIES (KADOPLA for short)', today marks the announcement of the second product, "Misaka Mikoto," from "A Certain Scientific Railgun," which will be available for pre-order this month. The full product reveal will take place at the 'Shizuoka Hobby Show' held on the 8th of this month.
The 'KADOKAWA PLASTIC MODEL SERIES' brings the charm of characters from Kadokawa's published works to life through plastic model kits. The model designs feature precise color separation and part division combined with pre-painted parts, while also maintaining articulation in various joints. Even with a straight build, the models can largely recreate the character's appearance from the series, allowing fans to pose them in famous scenes and signature stances.
Unveiled on Misaka Mikoto's birthday, the "KADOPLA Misaka Mikoto" currently has some product sculpts revealed. The overall design is three-dimensionalized based on the anime settings, utilizing precise part division and molded colors to reproduce the hair accessories and costume colors. The pre-printed face parts also faithfully recreate her adorable smiling expression from the anime. From the prototype previously displayed at [WF2024 Winter], it can be seen that this product, like the first release Megumin, will also be available in a standard version with a uniform outfit and a DX version that can be swapped into a swimsuit outfit.
