The Danish LEGO toy company recently unveiled new products for the second half of 2024 across its various series. This article will bring you information on four sets from the Technic series, numbered 42173, 42175, 42176, and 42182! They are expected to go on sale on August 1, 2024.
This wave of new LEGO Technic products includes two supercars built with around 800 pieces each: the grey Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut from Sweden and the Porsche GT4 e-Performance all-electric race car. Once assembled, they measure 28 and 37 centimeters respectively, making them quite substantial. The GT4 e-Performance can even be controlled with the "CONTROL+" APP, further expanding its playability after assembly! The official website also states that it will come with a rechargeable toy battery, which is truly exciting. As for the Volvo heavy engineering vehicle set, it's not only 68 centimeters long but also features an electric excavator and a wealth of intricate mechanical devices. It's sure to captivate not just children, but adults too!
In terms of appearance, the most eye-catching set, in my opinion, would definitely be NASA's Lunar Roving Vehicle (LRV) carried on "Apollo 17." Not only is its exterior faithfully recreated, but you can also play with its steering and suspension systems, model battery pack, TV camera, communication equipment, shovel, and a brick-built model of Big Muley, the largest lunar rock sample brought back to Earth by the Apollo program! What's super interesting is that the LRV can be folded and stored in three steps, and displayed along with other equipment and a nameplate. Truly cool!
