Japanese gashapon toy manufacturer SO-TA (State of the Art) Co., Ltd. teams up with the brilliant sculptor Yoshi. to launch a brand new series of "Disguise Kaiju Pumpkin & Melon" articulated gashapon figures. There will be four different types, scheduled for release in August 2024! In addition to the gashapon, a box set version will also be released simultaneously.
Following the popular "Tsukugibako" series, the eccentric and unique sculptor Yoshi. once again delivers astonishing work with the new theme "Disguise Kaiju Pumpkin & Melon". Featuring a transformable design, these mechanical monsters combine the appearance of pumpkins and melons. When closed, they disguise themselves as somewhat terrifying and intricately textured gourds. Upon transformation, the monster's true form is revealed, standing approximately 65mm tall! The gashapon versions each include a "Normal ver." and a "Flying Color ver." in blue transparent.
The box set versions feature a "Repaint ver." with deepened shadows for a more three-dimensional look, and a "Metallic Color ver." with a heavy metallic sheen. They also come with an interchangeable open-mouth head part! Pre-ordering from the SO-TA official store includes an exclusive painted bonus. While the price is slightly higher than the gashapon versions, it certainly feels more worthwhile to purchase!
