BANDAI SPIRITS Company's HOBBY Division in Japan has announced today that the third product in its new series, 'MGSD (MASTER GRADE SD)', which combines MG series technology with SD Gundam proportions, will be 'Wing Gundam Zero EW' from 'Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz', with an expected release in November 2024.
The XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero EW is the successor mobile suit to protagonist Heero Yuy, designed by mechanical designer KATOKI HAJIME for the OVA 'Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz'. Its status is equivalent to the Wing Gundam Zero from the TV anime series. The EW version features significant modifications in design and color scheme compared to the TV anime version, particularly the back wings, which have been redesigned into more distinctive and organic-looking white feathered wings. These not only greatly enhance mobility but can also envelop and protect the fuselage to form an 'Atmospheric Entry Mode'. Its main weapon is also the familiar 'Twin Buster Rifle', capable of destroying an entire space colony with a single shot at maximum output.
'MGSD' integrates the technology cultivated in Gunpla 'MASTER GRADE' into the SD Gundam specifications. Both the number of parts and the part separation and color separation techniques are comparable to MG Gunpla standards, creating the highest level of articulation, mechanisms, and high-density detailed sculpting in SD Gundam product history. Currently, only in-development CG images of the product have been released, with detailed product information expected to be unveiled in June 2024.
