Japan's Megahouse toy company has finally announced the official release of its brand new "MEGA TOON" series, which brings "Yu-Gi-Oh!" monster cards to life in three dimensions! The first wave features two products: "Dark Magician" and "Slifer the Sky Dragon." This article introduces the "MEGATOON Slifer the Sky Dragon," which has a suggested retail price of 6,050 JPY and is scheduled for release in September 2024!
In the "Yu-Gi-Oh!" series, the Three Egyptian God Cards (さんげんしん) consist of "Obelisk the Tormentor," "Slifer the Sky Dragon," and "The Winged Dragon of Ra." Legend has it that by collecting all three cards, one can earn the title of King of Games. As the Pharaoh's exclusive guardian deities, the Three Egyptian God Cards are also crucial to the Pharaoh regaining his memories in the story.
The deformed figure "MEGATOON Slifer the Sky Dragon" is crafted in a cute cartoon style based on its card illustration, reinterpreting the Sky Dragon with its red and black body and striking large wings in a two-head-tall proportion! Transformed into a cartoon style, its sharp fangs and majestic eyes become friendly and adorable~ The gem on its head is also finished with metallic paint; its compact size of approximately 13 cm allows one to feel the charming appeal of a cartoon monster card!
