Issued by BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS, the 'PROPLICA' series, which brings fictional props to life with the latest technology, today officially announced the release of its latest product from the popular video game series 'The Legend of Zelda', the 'Master Sword', scheduled for September 2024.
Although the background settings of each 'The Legend of Zelda' title vary, the "Master Sword" is undoubtedly the most iconic and powerful weapon of the protagonist, Link, in most of the games. While its appearance remains largely consistent across different 'The Legend of Zelda' installments, the Master Sword possesses diverse mythical backgrounds and lore. It is both the personal sword of the Goddess Hylia and a sacred blade imbued with powerful demon-banishing abilities, sometimes even a legendary sword that transcends time. However, it is often sealed or loses most of its power in the early stages of the game, only regaining its full strength as a weapon against the Demon King Ganondorf as the game progresses.
The 'PROPLICA Master Sword' boasts an impressive full length of approximately 105 cm. It features exquisite detailing, including the silver-white blade that seems to emit a mysterious blue glow, the hilt resembling the crest of Goddess Hylia, and the scabbard engraved with the Triforce. It is finished with luxurious gold and silver paintwork. In addition to being displayed with its included stand, the blade also incorporates a vibration mechanism that responds to swinging motions, allowing players to feel as if they have become Link themselves, fulfilling a long-held dream.
Furthermore, this Master Sword is equipped with a sound playback mechanism. By pressing the corresponding button on the hilt, it will play sound effects related to the Master Sword, emit sounds in conjunction with the vibration mechanism during swings, and even play 8 classic tracks from across the series! These include the Overworld BGM from the original 'The Legend of Zelda', the Overworld BGM from 'A Link to the Past', the Field BGM from 'Link's Awakening', the Hyrule Field Theme from 'Ocarina of Time', the Great Sea from 'The Wind Waker', the Main Theme from 'Skyward Sword', the Main Theme from 'Breath of the Wild', and the Main Theme from 'Tears of the Kingdom'!
