Japanese toy company EVOLUTION TOY's DYNAMITE ACTION series of articulated toys is scheduled to release a REVIVAL version of the protagonist robot, Steel God Jeeg, from Go Nagai's work "Steel God Jeeg" (Koutetsushin Jeeg) in October 2024! The price will be 21,780 JPY.
Also from the hand of Go Nagai, the creator of "Mazinger Z," "Great Mazinger," and "Getter Robo," the work "Steel Jeeg" (Koutetsu Jeeg), born in 1975, is also a very popular robot anime. "Steel God Jeeg" (Koutetsushin Jeeg), released in 2007, is a sequel to that work, with the story set 50 years after Steel Jeeg. The protagonist, Kenji Kusanagi, is a high school student and race car driver who is chosen as the pilot of Steel Jeeg to fight against the Jamada Empire.
This DYNAMITE ACTION Steel God Jeeg articulated toy, scheduled for release by EVOLUTION TOY, stands approximately 17 cm tall and faithfully recreates its appearance from the anime. Its joints are crafted with magnets and iron balls, allowing for easy posing in various action stances. Naturally, a variety of interchangeable parts for the main body are included: three sets of left and right hand parts, including a posed hand for performing the "Hell Slap" (Jigoku Binta) and gripping hands for the "Knuckle Bomber." Kenji's beloved car, "Raiko-Ba," is also included and can transform into Steel Jeeg's head. The iconic combinable weapon, the "Mach Drill" (Mach Drill), is, of course, an essential accessory.
