The popular die-cast toy series 'METAL BUILD', issued by BANDAI SPIRITS' TAMASHII NATIONS collector's toy division in Japan, today announced the latest product from the "Mobile Suit Gundam 00 Revealed Chronicle" model project, a collaboration with Gundam 00: "Gundam Dynames SAGA", scheduled for release in September 2024.
Gundam Dynames SAGA is an original new mobile suit designed by Takayuki Yanase for this METAL BUILD collaboration project. This machine appears shortly before the ELS visit to Earth event in the theatrical film, after Gundam Dynames Repair was converted to GN Particle Storage Tank power specifications. It is simultaneously equipped with the same type of "SAGA (Special Assault Gundam Armament)" as the GN-006/SA Cherudim Gundam SAGA, used to enhance combat performance within base facilities. Its overall appearance also blends the distinct color schemes of both mobile suits, forming an asymmetrical design that symbolizes the legacy of the Lockon Stratos brothers, Neil and Lyle, fighting together after the death of the elder brother, Neil.
The "METAL BUILD Gundam Dynames SAGA" is based on previously released Gundam Dynames series machines, similarly utilizing a large number of die-cast parts to form its movable frame, offering both firm joints and a weighty feel. The entire machine is also finished with various matte, metallic colors, and original markings to express its substantial presence and realism.
The mobile suit combines newly produced parts from Gundam Dynames Repair and Cherudim Gundam SAGA armaments to form its original specifications. The "GN Small Shield" and "GN Full Shield" (which enhances optical camouflage functions) mounted on the left shoulder are reproduced using clear parts. The head, right half of the body, and left leg utilize numerous new parts to replicate the styling and armaments of Cherudim Gundam SAGA. In addition to the two original GN Beam Pistols equipped by Dynames, two new "GN Beam Pistol IIs", a "GN Submachine Gun", and a "GN Assault Rifle" are added to complete the seven guns.
In addition to being able to equip "GN ARMS" like other Gundam Dynames series, the various armaments can also be equipped by separately sold units such as "Gundam Astraea Type-F II" and "Gundam Dynames Repair III" via common standard joints.
