Following the release of "Mitsuri Kanroji" in Aniplex's popular BUZZmod. (バズモッド) action figure series, the company is set to launch a new product based on the popular anime 《Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba》—the "Sanemi Shinazugawa" 1/12 scale action figure. It will retail for 12,000 JPY and is scheduled for release in January 2025!
Sanemi Shinazugawa is the Wind Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps and the elder brother of Genya Shinazugawa, one of the key characters. Sanemi killed his mother after she transformed into a demon, but this act was misunderstood by Genya, leading to a strained relationship between the brothers. Despite this, Sanemi deeply loves his younger brother and, throughout the story, tries every possible way to make Genya leave the dangerous Demon Slayer Corps and live a peaceful life.
This Sanemi Shinazugawa 1/12 scale action figure stands approximately 15 cm tall. It is meticulously crafted to replicate Sanemi's appearance in his Demon Slayer Corps uniform from the series. His white haori, emblazoned with the character "殺" (Satsu/Kill) on the back, is made from real fabric, faithfully reproducing his look while minimizing impact on articulation. For accessories, four interchangeable face plates are included, allowing collectors to display Sanemi with his various exaggerated and disdainful expressions. In addition to his Nichirin Blade, two wooden swords are also provided, enabling the recreation of scenes from his Hashira Training Arc.
