AZONE International (株式会社アゾンインターナショナル), a Japanese company renowned for manufacturing exquisite anime character dolls, has announced a new product under its "Pureneemo" articulated doll series: a 1/6 scale collectible doll of "Hitori Gotoh" from the popular anime "Bocchi the Rock!". The suggested retail price is 18,000 JPY, with an anticipated release in late August 2024!
"Bocchi the Rock!" is a four-panel manga series created by Japanese manga artist Aki Hamaji, which was adapted into an anime by CloverWorks and aired in 2022. The story follows the protagonist, "Bocchi" Hitori Gotoh, who constantly practices guitar with the dream of forming a band, but her social anxiety prevents her from achieving it. One day after school, she coincidentally meets Nijika Ijichi, who is looking for a guitarist for her band, and thus joins "Kessoku Band". Together with bassist Ryo Yamada and Ikuyo Kita, they begin their musical activities, and Bocchi gradually confronts her social anxiety.
For this release, AZONE has crafted the protagonist of "Bocchi the Rock!", Hitori Gotoh, into a Pureneemo articulated doll. Utilizing exquisite doll-making techniques, every detail of Bocchi's commonly worn pink tracksuit, Seika High School pleated skirt, socks, and leather shoes are faithfully reproduced with high quality. Her iconic pink hair is created using rooted hair technology, allowing it to shimmer under light. Furthermore, the Pureneemo series articulated doll body allows for a wide range of poses, enabling collectors to display Bocchi with the girlish charm rarely seen in the series!
