Japan's RE-MENT toy company, skilled in creating intricate accessories and miniature models, released a Komeda Coffee-themed blind box series last May. Now in 2024, RE-MENT revisits this famous Japanese coffee chain with a new creation, launching the "Even More I Love!! Komeda Coffee Vol. 2" (tentative translation, もっとだいすき！！ 珈琲所 コメダ珈琲店 第2弾) blind box series! Scheduled for release on August 5, 2024, with a suggested retail price of 990 JPY (tax included) per box, featuring a total of 6 designs.
Komeda Coffee, known for its "Japanese Energetic Breakfast," originated in Nagoya, Japan, in 1968. It has since become Nagoya's most iconic and widespread coffee chain, with numerous branches across Japan and several in Taiwan. We're sure many toy enthusiasts are also fans of Komeda! Beyond its unique morning offer of toast + boiled egg, egg salad, or red bean paste (choose one) with any coffee order, and the editor's personal must-have beef stew, Komeda's exquisite beverage cups are also a major highlight.
This second volume also allows you to create a two-person dining space once you collect the complete set. However, in addition to the chairs having a different design from the previous release, the biggest selling point of this second volume is the inclusion of a beautiful display cabinet for the food models, making your Komeda Coffee shop scene even more vibrant and complete. What's even more fantastic is the inclusion of a three-dimensional figure of the gentlemanly uncle, KOMEDANDY! Compared to the gentleman depicted on Komeda's cups, wearing a top hat, suit, and sipping hot coffee, this little uncle is truly adorable. Let's quickly take a look at the contents of this release and see which menu items are included.
