Chinese model manufacturer AniGame recently announced its latest product from the popular naval battle mobile game "Azur Lane": the "Ägir Golden Dragon Soaring Through Auspicious Clouds Ver." (エーギル 祥雲に昇る金龍Ver.) 1/6 scale pre-painted PVC figure! It is scheduled to ship starting June 2025, with a suggested retail price of 26,400 JPY (tax included).
Ägir is a DR (Decisive Research) Super Cruiser (Supercruiser) belonging to the Iron Blood faction, a Project Ship that requires a significant amount of time in the Research Academy to complete construction. Her default in-game illustration depicts an alluring, large-breasted beautiful girl with dragon horns on her head and long white hair. Her name comes from Ægir, the Norse god of the deep sea. This Ägir, based on her New Year's cheongsam outfit "Golden Dragon Soaring Through Auspicious Clouds," stands approximately 22 cm tall. Not only does it meticulously recreate that extremely daring cheongsam, which looks like just a few pieces of cloth draped over her, but it also excellently captures her compressed and deformed large breasts, the wrinkles on her abdomen and black stockings, Ägir's classic long white hair, and her seemingly about-to-fall-off red high heels!
And in this New Year's cheongsam rendition, AniGame has also directly created a complete wooden table diorama, allowing Ägir's long hair, scattered across the tabletop and naturally draped along the edge, to be fully expressed. Beside her is an exquisitely carved incense burner emitting wisps of white smoke. However, the exquisite paintwork on Ägir's body, hair, cheongsam fabric, and other parts does not emphasize textural differences. I personally feel the overall visual effect is slightly flat, hoping the actual product will have more depth.
