JADA TOYS, a toy manufacturer renowned for its collectible scale model cars and remote control toys, has launched a new product based on the popular Netflix streaming series "Wednesday" – the "Thing" remote control toy. The suggested retail price is US$31.99, with an anticipated release in October 2024!
The series "Wednesday," directed by the visionary Tim Burton, is adapted from the single-panel comics created by American cartoonist Charles Addams, which were serialized in The New Yorker magazine from 1938 to 1988. The story follows the eccentric protagonist, Wednesday, as she transfers to Nevermore Academy and encounters a series of incredible events alongside her diverse classmates.
"Thing" is Wednesday's relative in the series, initially sent by Wednesday's father, Gomez, to spy on her. However, Thing is instead recruited by Wednesday to assist her with various plans at the academy. This "Thing" remote control toy stands approximately 15.8 cm tall, recreating Thing in a 1:1 scale as a remote control toy. Its design meticulously captures details such as the stitches on its hand and its darkened joints. It can be controlled to move forward, backward, left, and right using a "Wednesday"-themed remote control, faithfully reproducing its eerie movements from the show!
The main unit charges via a USB plug, and two AAA batteries for the remote control are included in the box, allowing for immediate play right out of the package!
