Following "Kaiju No. 8", "Mina Ashiro", and "Reno Ichikawa", S.H.Figuarts, the action figure brand released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectibles division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., has unveiled new "Kaiju No. 8" themed products. In addition to "Kaiju No. 9", sales information for the "Kikoru Shinomiya" action figure has also been revealed, with a reference price of 8,800 JPY, scheduled for release in November 2024!
"Kaiju No. 8" is a manga series created by Japanese manga artist Naoya Matsumoto on the online manga platform "Shonen Jump+". In 2024, it was adapted into an anime series by Production I.G and released on the NETFLIX streaming platform. Kikoru Shinomiya is the daughter of Defense Force Captain Isao Shinomiya, a prodigy who graduated early from the California Extermination University, and is known as a genius girl. Her liberation power reached 46% the first time she wore a Defense Force combat suit. During the second phase of the Defense Force examination, Kikoru encountered a regenerated kaiju created by Kaiju No. 9. When she was in danger, Kafka, who had transformed into "Kaiju No. 8," arrived in time to save her, and she has since developed feelings for him.
This Kikoru Shinomiya action figure stands approximately 13 cm tall. It recreates Kikoru's appearance in the anime, featuring her in a combat suit made by Izumo Tech. The sculpting faithfully reproduces the subtle yet powerful muscle lines visible beneath the combat suit, with meticulous attention to various details on the outfit. Accessories include 3 interchangeable face parts, 2 pairs of interchangeable hand parts, interchangeable bangs, a gun, and Kikoru's specialized weapon, the Shockwave Great Axe, allowing for the recreation of her various cool combat poses!
And this time, just like Kaiju No. 9, it also includes a special face part for Kaiju No. 8!
