Today, TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., officially unveiled the full details of its latest limited-edition product: the popular alloy toy series "METAL BUILD" "Destiny Gundam (Full Package) [METAL BUILD FESTIVAL 2024]". This product is a special item commemorating the "METAL BUILD FESTIVAL 2024 WITH CLUB TAMASHII MEMBERS" exhibition. For sales information, please refer to the official website of 'TAMASHII NATIONS STORE TOKYO'.
The ZGMF-X42S Destiny Gundam is the latest mobile suit developed under the direction of PLANT Supreme Council Chairman Gilbert Durandal for the Z.A.F.T. military before the decisive battle with the Earth Alliance. It serves as the successor machine for Z.A.F.T. pilot "Shinn Asuka". Developed based on the Impulse Gundam's design, the Destiny Gundam integrates the equipment of the Force, Blast, and Sword Silhouette systems into one unit. It also utilizes technologies prohibited by the Junius Treaty, such as the Hyper Duetrion Engine and Mirage Colloid, enabling it to deploy "Wings of Light" for extreme acceleration and scatter Mirage Colloid particles to create afterimages. Its performance far surpasses that of second-generation mobile suits like the Impulse Gundam.
The "METAL BUILD Destiny Gundam (Full Package) [METAL BUILD FESTIVAL 2024]" is a modified version of the previously released regular edition. Its exterior armor is rendered with pearl, high-gloss, and metallic colors, making it appear significantly more brilliant compared to previous versions that predominantly used matte finishes. It also features some newly designed body markings. This set will also include "Wings of Light effect parts" and a display stand.
The mechanisms and weapon accessories for each part are the same as previous versions. In addition to the High-Energy Beam Rifle and Beam Shield, the "Arondight" Beam Sword and High-Energy Long-Range Beam Cannon mounted on the backpack can both be deployed and held in both hands, recreating impressive battle scenes. The butterfly-like wings can be widely spread to reveal parts of the internal structure, and combined with the polarizing "Wings of Light" effect parts, the presence is truly overwhelming!
