Japanese toy company EVOLUTION TOY, known for its Hero Action Figure (HAF) series featuring numerous tokusatsu hero articulated figures, is set to release a new product based on the classic tokusatsu series "Iron King" – the "Iron King Ver.2" articulated figure. The suggested retail price is 11,030 JPY, with an anticipated release in October 2024!
"Iron King" (アイアンキング) is a tokusatsu hero TV series produced by Senkosha in 1972, following "Silver Mask" (シルバー仮面). The story tells of the ancient "Shiranui Tribe," once annihilated, reappearing with giant robots to devastate Japan. The National Security Force dispatches protagonist Gentaro Shizuka and his assistant Goro Kirishima to confront them. Kirishima possesses the ability to transform into the superhero "Iron King," but his transformation time is limited to one minute, requiring mutual support with Shizuka to defeat their enemies.
This HAF Iron King Ver.2 articulated figure stands approximately 17 cm tall. Its sculpt has been re-adjusted from the previous version to better replicate the proportions of the actor in the tokusatsu suit. It meticulously presents Iron King's silver and red color scheme, with the eyes and chest's star-shaped crystal crafted from translucent colored material. The entire figure features multiple points of articulation, and the abdomen is made of soft plastic, allowing Iron King to strike dynamic poses with greater freedom!
