Hong Kong model manufacturer YOLOPARK has launched 5 Minions model kits based on the animated film "Despicable Me 4," which is set to be released this year. The suggested retail price is US$14.99 per kit, with an estimated release in Q2 2024!
The "Despicable Me" animated film series is a joint production by Universal Pictures and Illumination. Following the release of the first film, "Despicable Me," in 2010, two sequels and two Minions spin-off films have been released. The series is now set to welcome its third sequel, "Despicable Me 4," this summer. This time, Gru and his family will face a new arch-nemesis, Maxime Le Mal. The official movie trailer has already been released, and the film is scheduled to premiere on July 3, 2024!
In the second official trailer released by the official channels, five Minions are seen being chosen as test subjects for a super serum, transforming them into top secret agents with superpowers. These "Despicable Me 4" Minions model kits recreate the five Minions – Jerry, Dave, Tim, Gus, and Mel (names are provisional translations; actual translations will follow the movie) – as approximately 12 cm tall model kits, capturing their appearance after gaining superpowers. Each kit features fun playability related to their abilities, such as Mel's cyclops-like retractable and glowing eye patch, and Tim's bendable and extendable arm replacement parts. With multiple pre-painted replacement parts, these kits faithfully reproduce their superpowered actions from the film!
