To coincide with the upcoming new anime adaptation of "Kinnikuman", Bandai's Shokugan division, BANDAI CANDY, has launched a new Kinnikuman candy toy, "Kinnikuman Trefig Collection" (Trefig Collection). The first series includes a total of 8 characters, each priced at 638 JPY, with an estimated release in September 2024.
"Kinnikuman" (キン肉マン) is a manga created by Japanese manga artist "Yudetamago" (ゆでたまご, actually a pen name used by two manga artists). It was first serialized in Shueisha's manga magazine "Weekly Shonen Jump" in 1979. Later, in 1983, it was adapted into a TV anime by Nippon Television. Multiple sequels have since been released, and it remains a highly popular work for nearly 50 years. The latest anime adaptation is scheduled to premiere in July 2024.
This new Kinnikuman candy toy, "Trefig Collection" (トレフィグコレクション), launched by Bandai, adopts a 2.5-head body proportion.
