GASHAPON, the gashapon toy brand from Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., which launched the "CAPSULE ACTION" gashapon series based on "Mobile Suit Gundam," has announced the latest product from "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED," the "Strike Gundam," scheduled for release in September 2024.
The protagonist mobile suit from "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED," the GAT-X105 Strike Gundam, is the last completed unit among the five "G Weapons" manufactured by the Earth Alliance. Its armor material has been lightened for greater flexibility, possessing extremely high mobility akin to the human body, but also relying more on the protection of its "Phase Shift Armor." Through the "Striker Pack System" equipment change mechanism, it can be transformed into "Aile Striker," "Sword Striker," "Launcher Striker," and other forms, to adapt to various missions and battlefield uses, achieving the goal of multi-purpose functionality from a single unit.
Although the "CAPSULE ACTION Strike Gundam" is a gashapon toy with a total height of only 9 cm, its entire body boasts an astonishing 38 points of articulation. The overall armor design also features cool and detailed sculpting, and it comes with weapons such as a beam rifle and shield, allowing for the recreation of battle scenes. In addition to the "Standard Color Version" that reproduces the anime's settings, a "Clear Version" with exterior parts made of matte black transparent plastic will also be released simultaneously.
Furthermore, Bandai plans to release in the future related products such as "Skygrasper," "Aile Striker Pack," "Sword Striker Pack," and "Launcher Striker Accessories," which can be combined with the Strike Gundam main unit to transform into various forms.
