The popular candy toy product line "Mobile Suit Gundam G-FRAME FA", released by BANDAI CANDY, the candy toy division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., today announced the latest product from the theatrical anime "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM", "Duel Blitz Gundam & Lightning Buster Gundam", which is scheduled for release in October 2024.
The ZGMF-1027M Duel Blitz Gundam and ZGMF-103HD Lightning Buster Gundam are mobile suits secretly modified by the Atlantic Federation using the latest technology after transferring the Duel Gundam and Buster Gundam to the Z.A.F.T. military. Both units utilize nuclear power engines, which are restricted by the Junius Treaty, and are similarly assigned to their original pilots, Yzak Joule and Dearka Elsman. The Duel Blitz Gundam inherits armaments such as the "Gleipnir" piercing chain claw and the "Lancer Dart" hyper-velocity kinetic penetration rounds, previously equipped on the Blitz Gundam. The Lightning Buster Gundam, on the other hand, further enhances its original high-firepower long-range armaments, featuring beam rifles, missile pods, and two foldable beam cannons on its back.
This product is a deluxe set that simultaneously includes both new theatrical version mobile suits, the "Duel Blitz Gundam" and the "Lightning Buster Gundam". For the Duel Blitz Gundam, approximately 70% new parts are used to recreate its new assault shroud and armaments, incorporating the high-density detailed sculpting characteristic of the 'G-FRAME FA' series, and featuring a flexible movable frame structure. By removing the assault shroud parts and attaching dedicated parts, the main body of the Duel Gundam in its standard state can also be reproduced.
Its armaments include a "High-Energy Beam Rifle", "Beam Saber", and the "Gleipnir" and "Lancer Dart" inherited from the Blitz Gundam. The Gleipnir can be equipped with the included approximately 20 cm long single-core wire to recreate its firing state. By replacing parts, the deployed state of the "2-barrel Missile Pod" hidden in the left shoulder and the "High-Energy Beam Cannon" hidden in the right shoulder can be reproduced. The High-Energy Beam Cannon can also be used as a handheld weapon.
Lightning Buster Gundam also utilizes numerous new parts in its construction, bringing to life its armor design with richer details in various sections. The two sets of missile pods, "Type 77 Multi-Purpose Guided Missile Launchers", located on its backpack feature hatch deployment mechanisms. The "High-Energy Beam Rifle" at its waist comes with two types of interchangeable parts for stored and deployed states. The large beam cannons mounted on both sides of its back, as per the design, can be deployed over the shoulders and at the waist sides via movable supports, recreating powerful firing poses.
