GOOD SMILE COMPANY, a Japanese figure manufacturer, has announced the latest product in its 'Nendoroid Doll' series of chibi-style, low-body-proportion articulated figures, "Nendoroid Doll Ayanami Rei", from "Evangelion New Theatrical Edition". The suggested retail price is 9,000 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in November 2024.
The "Nendoroid Doll" series combines the extensive character lineup of the "Nendoroid" series with the features of an articulated doll body. Flexible ball joints are used for the shoulders and hips, while additional articulation points in the chest, waist, and feet significantly enhance poseability. The head-to-body ratio is taller and more slender than the standard Nendoroid series, but the head specifications are identical to regular Nendoroid products, allowing for interchangeable parts. The clothing is designed as removable fabric garments, enabling you to dress your favorite Nendoroid Doll characters in outfits from other works or Good Smile Company's original accessories!
The "Nendoroid Doll Ayanami Rei" articulated figure stands approximately 14 cm tall. It faithfully recreates her classic school uniform appearance with the series' characteristic chibi styling, flexible joints, and a more slender head-to-body ratio than standard Nendoroids. The clothing is designed as removable fabric garments and includes the Third New Tokyo City Municipal First Middle School uniform, black socks, white underwear, and white leather shoes. Additionally, it comes with interchangeable hand parts, an articulated stand, and a dedicated base. The base part is a non-magnetic type.
