The high-quality figure brand "SHIBUYA SCRAMBLE FIGURE," issued by eStream, a subsidiary of Japan's CyberZ (CyberZ, Inc.), has announced its latest product from "KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!", the "Megumin & Yunyun -We Are Friends Ver.-" 1/7 scale diorama figure. The suggested retail price is 38,500 JPY, with an estimated release in May 2025.
The spin-off work of "KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World!", "KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!", tells the story of the Crimson Demon Clan's top genius magician, Megumin (めぐみん), one year before the main story begins. This flat-chested, nutritionally deficient girl aims to become a great magician because she wants to have large breasts! She suffers from severe chuunibyou, wrapping inexplicable bandages around her body despite having no injuries. Captivated by the ultimate title of "Explosion Magic," she invests all her skill points into it. She is both a rival and a close friend to Yunyun (ゆんゆん), the daughter of the Crimson Demon Clan chief. Their relationship is so close it's almost like yuri, with Yunyun even willing to do anything for Megumin, even if it means breaking the law...
The "SHIBUYA SCRAMBLE FIGURE Megumin & Yunyun -We Are Friends Ver.-" 1/7 scale diorama figure, approximately 27 cm tall, brings to life the scene where Megumin pounces on Yunyun, attempting to snatch her secretly eaten lunch rice ball! Megumin's mischievous grin is meticulously sculpted, and Yunyun's surprised and flustered expression from the sudden attack is vividly portrayed. The natural and eye-catching lines of both their legs are carefully recreated, and their dynamic pose looks as if they are about to tumble onto each other. Although the overall design is simple, the flowing clothes, the shape of the cloaks, and the paintwork, all moving with their actions, demonstrate a lively and charming appeal.
Megumin's hat and her familiar "Chomusuke," who is leisurely yawning, are placed at their feet, and their positions can be freely arranged.
