Released by BANDAI SPIRITS HOBBY Division in Japan, the 'Figure-rise Standard Amplified' series, which further enhances character design and the dynamic expression of model kits, has announced its latest product from 'Yu-Gi-Oh!', the "Figure-rise Standard AMPLIFIED -Descent of the Three Phantasm Gods- The Winged Dragon of Ra" model kit, slated for release in October 2024!
In the 'Yu-Gi-Oh!' series, the Three Phantasm Gods (さんげんしん) consist of the three divine cards: "Obelisk the Tormentor," "Slifer the Sky Dragon," and "The Winged Dragon of Ra." Legend has it that by collecting these three cards, one can earn the title of King of Games. As the Pharaoh's exclusive guardian deities, the Three Phantasm Gods are also crucial to the Pharaoh regaining his memories in the story. Among them, The Winged Dragon of Ra is the highest-ranking of the Three Phantasm Gods—representing the divine bird of heaven and earth, and was initially Marik's ace card.
The "Figure-rise Standard Amplified The Winged Dragon of Ra" is based on its original design, infused with richer details and emphasizing sharp lines and layered textures throughout, showcasing intricate sculpted details not present in the original and further amplifying the character's appeal! Once assembled, it measures 30 cm in length and an impressive 40 cm in width, capable of recreating its iconic winged pose. Sophisticated and precise part separation is used to express details such as the gem on Ra's forehead, its tongue, and mouth; two different shades of gold are utilized to reproduce the armor covering its entire body.
Its intricate articulated joints allow for dynamic poses, showcasing Ra's divine posture as it gazes down upon all. Its mouth can open and close, and even its tongue is articulated! The massive wings, thanks to multi-directional movable axes and shoulder joints, can be posed in a spherical shape, extending forward! Two types of connecting parts for a display stand are included.
