BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division, Japan, has officially announced today the detailed information for the latest product from the 1/144 scale Gunpla "HG (High Grade)" series, known for its diverse range of mobile suits, the "HG 1/144 Bolinoak Sammahn" from "Mobile Suit Z Gundam", scheduled for release in November 2024.
The PMX-002 Bolinoak Sammahn is a prototype reconnaissance mobile suit developed by the Jupiteris forces led by Paptimus Scirocco. This unit boasts exceptional performance in search, patrol, and information gathering. Its head is equipped with a radome housing various precision sensors, and its left arm features a laser sensor, enabling it to analyze information and transmit messages in conjunction with its internal computer. Furthermore, its full-body electromagnetic shielding coating ensures both detection accuracy and stealth. It is one of the few cutting-edge units of its era capable of electronic warfare amidst high concentrations of Minovsky particles.
Making its debut as an HG model kit just before its 40th anniversary, the "HG 1/144 Bolinoak Sammahn" revives this classic mobile suit with BANDAI's latest technology. The entire model utilizes multiple molded color parts to recreate the deep green, light green, red, and yellow armor sections. The head's radome further employs new "reflective cut clear parts" and stickers to achieve a gleaming, illuminated effect.
Furthermore, each joint of the mobile suit features a flexible articulation design, utilizing multi-axis neck and torso joints, along with pull-out shoulder joints, to deliver excellent poseability. The distinctive large backpack on its back, including the four multi-directional thrusters surrounding it and the three large central thrusters, are all connected with ball joints for free rotation. Both shoulder binders feature deployment gimmicks to recreate the explosive projectile launch state, and the massive shield claw on the right arm can be opened and closed with a two-stage articulation. For weaponry, it includes two Beam Tomahawks and two Beam Sabers, with effect parts to recreate their cool appearance when the beams are deployed.
