Released by the HOBBY Division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, the Gunpla series 'HG (High Grade)', which incorporates exterior armor, internal frames, interlocking armor, and new technologies into the 1/144 scale, today officially unveiled the full details of its latest product, the 'HG 1/144 Murasame Kai', from "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY", scheduled for release in October 2024.
STTS/F-400 Murasame Kai is the next-generation main machine of the Orb military, improved from the "MVF-M11C Murasame". Several units were also delivered to the Archangel for pilots such as Mu La Flaga to serve as ship-borne combat power. This machine largely retains the Murasame's frame and armaments but features significantly improved exterior styling and transformation mechanisms, allowing it to transform into a fighter-like MA (Mobile Armor) form, possessing equally outstanding aerial combat capabilities.
The 'HG 1/144 Murasame Kai' is produced using Bandai's latest color separation and part division technology, utilizing molded part colors to reproduce the machine's colors as accurately as possible. The red antenna on the head, as well as the orange parts on the chin and forehead, are all recreated with molded colors. It also features the "SEED Action System," capable of recreating classic poses from the Gundam SEED series, allowing for dynamic combat poses from the show through flexible joint designs such as double joints in the forearms and independently swinging hip joints for the legs.
Armament accessories include a beam saber, beam rifle, and shield. By using interchangeable parts, the MA form, which resembles a fighter jet, can be recreated. This method offers a more robust structure compared to direct transformation. The main wings can suspend a wealth of missile parts, beam rifles, and other armaments, showcasing a cool, heavily armed appearance.
